Product Description
REF615 is a dedicated feeder protection and control relay for the protection, control, measurement and supervision of overhead lines and cable feeders in utility and industrial power distribution systems - radial, looped and meshed networks, with or without distributed generation. It is part of ABB's Relion family and 615 series. Features: directional and non-directional overcurrent and earth-fault protection with voltage, frequency and power-based protection and measurement; multi-frequency admittance-based earth-fault protection for higher sensitivity; optional fast fault location, arc protection and high-speed outputs; support for IEC 61850 Editions 1 and 2 including HSR and PRP, GOOSE messaging and IEC 61850-9-2 LE; IEEE 1588 V2 time synchronisation; and Modbus, DNP3 and IEC 60870-5-103 protocols. Ready-made standard configurations allow fast setup and it works with sensors or conventional instrument transformers. Ratings, trip units, coil voltages and approvals are as published by the manufacturer - confirm the exact article number, frame, trip unit and coil voltage for your project when you request a quote.
