Mersen EG389P is a Mersen electrographite carbon brush grade for motors: relative density 1.49, resistivity 1,600 uOhm-cm (630 uOhm-in), hardness 29 Shore, flexural strength 19 MPa (2,756 psi), current density 6 to 12 A/cm2 (40 to 77 A/in2) and peripheral speed up to 50 m/s (164 ft/s). Mersen's electrographite family has a medium contact drop and low-to-medium friction, suited to high peripheral speeds.
